Indonesia early 2026 Trip Notes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arrived in Jakarta with Evy on the 17th of April. Could even think about going earlier in the future, however I don\u2019t think the winter swell had started at all earlier than this. Evy returned to Perth on the following Wednesday. On Thursday I took the Whoosh Train to Bandung and on Sunday the 26th of April rode my motorcycle down to Pameungpeuk with my 2 surfboards. Took my time with several stops. Need to find somewhere scenic to stop off the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ended up Stayed in Pameungpeuk for 6 weeks. Left for Bandung on Saturday the 6th of June. The surf forecast ended up with a string of big days and as expected in June\/July. Was always a loose plan to go back to Australia or up to Krui if the surf ended up getting big. So I am booked to fly back to Perth on the 11th of June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So what to say about the trip. Surf was good practically every day. A couple of days were too big and now and again there were other people surfing especially when Yoga brings a mob from Batu Karas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Main issue I had was my surfing. Found it difficult to get started and my wave count was down. Things improved as time went on. In the end I was having great sessions getting wave after wave on the JS Xero Gravity 5\u201910\u201d 31.5 liters. Taking the Creatine definitely enabled much longer surf sessions. Emiliano said I needed to surf all year round, which is true especially if I want to surf into my seventies like his friend. Just a comment about the last day, was 3-4ft+ with some 5ft sets. Couldn\u2019t get onto them over on the wide take off spot and wasn\u2019t having much fun. Later I paddled up the reef further and got some great long speedy action packed waves. Really enjoy surfing the Xero Gravity. Got the takeoffs sorted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emiliano, Australian Italian 50 years old. Runs a hot air balloon business with his partner. Stayed at Villagio for around a week. Had some good fun surfs with him. Swapped boards and rode his twin pin epoxy which was fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
